Fitness. I am so very bad at fitness. I have never enjoyed sports or exercise, and that paired with my fear of sickness and my dislike of adrenaline means that I really never get out to exercise - ever. It is important to exercise for many reasons, and although I am not going to start a big fitness campaign or anything, I am going to make an effort to get out for walks more when I have some free time. Yeah I know - everyone says that. Today I have been researching the benefits of exercise, and I've found some really interesting things that are starting to motivate me to move a bit more.
Reasons Why a Little Exercise is Good:
- You will feel better physically - stronger with more energy.
- Decreases anxiety and low mood.
- Sleeping better at night.
- Maintaining a healthy weight.
I might just start keeping a little journal of my exercise, because I know for a fact that I have not made an effort to do extra exercise for quite a while now. I am really interested in how exercising more with affect my anxiety - can it really help? How much exercise do you do? And how do you keep yourself motivated to do more?
Last night I emailed a photographer that I really like, and he very kindly emailed me back almost instantly saying that he would like to help me and answer some of my questions. It's been really exciting talking to someone that I admire in the business and only hearing really good things in return. My uni work is really coming along, and it's getting easier to motivate myself to do it - it's pretty stressful but this is literally the final stretch. I leave university in something like 12 weeks! Crazy!
My monthly favourites video will be up soon. I've already tried to upload it once today, and that failed! So hopefully my internet will hold out well for the future :)
